Listen to Erathoniel ranting on and on in good ol' conservative Christian fashion.
I review a game simply because it's on GameTap.

Now, I'm a fan of overhead shooters. Almost all the games I've ever made (like 60% of them, and 90% of the playable ones) are overhead shooters. They are awesome, simple, and have lots of room for improvement.

Anyways, RIP 3 takes the generic top-down shooter and adds light RPG elements. You acquire new weapons (off the field) and skills (through level up). Over time you go from a weak version of Death to a near-omnipotent Grim Reaper. It has a "Flower Mode" for those who hate blood (though, since my PC doesn't like too much crud on screen, I wish it had an off mode, but it still isn't that bad). All in all, it's a simple game with lots of good gameplay and an arcade feel.

Oh, and there's a cheat (at least on GameTap), if after a level at the level completion screen you push alt-tab, look at another program, and look back, you'll get a fair deal of experience. Good for testing characters.
