Listen to Erathoniel ranting on and on in good ol' conservative Christian fashion.

Yep, another "On" article. I like that classification. I should post an archive of them sometime.

Anyways, to the topic. Gun control.

Gun control is a pesky issue. What level is needed? I believe that psychological reviews, as well as criminal record checks should be necessary for gun purchases. However, I believe that there should be a minimal amount of control on the weapons themselves. Outlawing all weapons leads to only criminals and law enforcement having weapons,  and limits the recreational use of guns (hunting, whatnot) as well as the self-defense usage, which results in a bad state of government. I do also believe that Tasers and similar incapacitation weapons should be used in favor of guns for personal defense, but guns should still be sold.

I've had a gun in my bedroom since I was about 8 years old, never shot anyone ...yet, and no desire to do so. The problem I see with Tasers and other non-lethal weapons is that the criminal has too many rights these days. The homeowner could easily find themselves in a legal battle for injuring a criminal that has broken into their property. Also there are no shortage of lawyers and protesters that take up the criminals cause. Anyone breaks into my home while I'm present will not have their day in court but at the funeral home.

That's the entire point of letting people have guns, so that those who break in (which, shall I point out, proves malicious intent) can have their day sooner.

I have radical views on the death penalty. Starting at just above traffic violations. I'm quite draconian, I fear.
