What is the image of God?

What is the image of God? The Bible preaches that man is made in God's image. So, what part of man is representative of God? There are proponents of the "body" theory, which states that our bodies are made in the image of God. This basically states that God is in form, a biped with two arms, two eyes, two ears, two nostrils, and whatnot. This is, however, a theory, though it can be theoretically reinforced by stating that it is written that "the body is the Temple of God" (roughly paraphrased).

However, is the body what matters, or is it the mind. Now, obviously, our minds are inferior to God's, but they play a large part of our similarity to Him. I'd say that our mind is what is God's image, and our body is just optimized for that.

Three things.

1.) Careful study of scriptures shows G-D's image very different to ours (as we think about it).
2.) The reference in Genesis 1:26 refers to G-D as a plural: Elohim (El being the singular).
3.) Elohim makes adawm which was created BEFORE the separation of ish and ishah (man and woman).
