Tolerance is giving a second chance. Tolerance is not discriminating against others due to social group, social status, race, age, gender, or intellect. Tolerance is giving an open assessment. Tolerance is not liking everyone you know. Tolerance is giving everyone equal opportunity. Tolerance is not looking down upon others for any reason.
So, how tolerant are you? People level accusations of intolerance against the religious all the time, but my question is this: When you say others are intolerant, have you surveyed every individual, or are you making a blanket statement. I have heard people say things about Christians that may be true about the general majority, but they are still blanket statements and not all Christians are intolerant.
If I were to say that all people of African descent, European descent, Asian descent, Native American descent, Jewish religion and/or descent, Muslim religion and/or Arabic descent, homosexual lifestyle, heterosexual lifestyle, or the Hindu religion were the same as a group, wouldn't that make me intolerant? In the same way, is saying that everyone who is of the Christian religion is intolerant intolerance?
