And a Challenge?

Happy Memorial Day to all. However, it is important to rember that in addition to celebration, there should also be mourning for the soldiers lost at war for our freedom. Therefore, we should all try to write to a soldier today, to tell them that we are thinking about them and the friends they have lost.

Write me, Era.  Nevermind, I'm not dead yet.

Happy Memorial Day to all.

May Almighty God bless every one of our brave men and women in uniform, both home and abroad who continually work to keep America prosperous and free as well as our veterans both deceased and living.  We are all in your debt.

I only wished people would remember that Memorial day is a day to remember our fallen heroes and not a day for sales and specials, for parties and BBQing and drinking, for a long weekend for fun. I mean it's not a bad thing to do these things but it's a shame that the meaning of this holiday gets lost in today's definition of a holiday. I don't expect people to wear black or go to a cemetery and visit a fallen soldier or say thank you to the families of fallen soldiers, but at least remember what this day truly is for when hunting for bargains at the stores, firing up the grill, popping the cap of that ice cold beer and possibly even going for a swim in the ocean or pool.
