Introducing the CountryBoat     Imagine a huge ship, powered by solar energy, with greenhouses and fishing. Together, we can flee the nation before the nukes hit. One contribution of $100,000 can secure you eight slots on this ship. Sure, we may not have an experienced leader, but neither does America. This modern day Noah's Ark (without animals, save pets [please spay/neuter animals])will be launched when the first signs of crapper-jumping are here, and should carry enough e...

What is the difference between passing judgement or warning someone? For instance, let me present the black and white examples:

Judgement: Because you took a wrong turn, you fell off a cliff.
Warning: If you take the wrong turn, you will fall off a cliff.

In my opinion, judgement should never be necessary, instead a warning will suffice.

In ethical terms, this means that you should warn peopl...

What phobias do you have? I fall victim to a blend of phobias, none of which are terribly pleasant (fortunately, nor fairly common, save nyctophobia). Tell me if I'm misclassifing any of these. Also, none of them affect me in a virtual environment.

Acrophobia- Fear of heights. 12 feet is about how much it takes to trigger it. I will stay far away from any edges that could cause falling (even railing that doesn't go up to my chest).

Aviophobia- Fear of flying. Not too bad, but I avoid...

I'm opening up the Video Game Classification Wiki to the public (which means no account needed). What you can do is make an account and a page with your name (real or fake), then put little sections to duel. If it gets off well enough, I may make a public wiki simply for the purpose of fighting with words. Basically it's a way to relieve stress and keep comments from piling up too quickly on poor people's articles (sorry, KFC). Any comments or ideas are appreciated. I'll see you there (you guys ...

Just How Bad Is Cheating In Video Games?   Now, I'm a "pro" gamer. In so much as I'm probably in the better 25%. Ispend too much time at it, sure, but I am fairly decent. Sure I'm justbelow the Great Wall of Ownage, meaning that there are players who willdestroy me repeatedly (most Tribes players and some Tremulous playersfall into the upper category). However, I do pretty well, especially inMMO's. However, occasionally one will find the Dretch who lags so badly...

Do you know copy-pasting from Dreamweaver will not save tables unless you copy/paste the HTML code. I hate that.

Today I will be looking at why media franchises fail.

I will give an example of a good franchise with a bad game that failed, and a good franchise with a good game that failed nonetheless, and how they could have been saved.

    Franchise 1: Galidor

Galidor has a pretty neat concept. Change forms from one to another and become a wonderful fighter. It was sponsored by Lego, but it had a fairly decent concept. It had ...

Tolerance is giving a second chance. Tolerance is not discriminating against others due to social group, social status, race, age, gender, or intellect. Tolerance is giving an open assessment. Tolerance is not liking everyone you know. Tolerance is giving everyone equal opportunity. Tolerance is not looking down upon others for any reason.

So, how tolerant are you? People level accusations of intolerance against the religious all the time, but my question...

Words have a major power. Studies show that a negative spoken word will linger for seventy two hours in a person's mind, and requires ten positive words to repair the damage it caused before that period is out.

Words have an immense amount of power, and they can be used for hurting or for healing. In the Bible, words are referenced as sparks that can ignite a forest. Just as a word can cause immense damage, words can be used to repair broken lives.

You can never persecute me, for when I am persecuted, I believe it all as gain, for through me people may see the patience and love of Jesus Christ and through my loss they may be saved. You can not provoke me into retaliation, for I have lost nothing. All I request is that you are decent and do not go beyond the line. There is a clear line between arguing your point and intimidation and name calling. Everything you do to me, physically, will break my bones but not my spirit. ...

Now, a lot of people here seem to have no clue at all how to answer a simple question. Yeah, if there's three I'll give you a credit if you can answer them all, but miss one up in context.

Seriously, answer a question directly, read it twice, include the question with your answer, think twice, don't copy, I don't listen to crap, wake up, take a sip of a drink (any type), read a webcomic, read a blog article, and then see if the answer makes sense to the question.

If your answer is crap,...

I do some messing around with graphical arts. (Included sample below, you can use it if it's true)

The easiest program to use for vector graphics is Inkscape. It's simple, easy, and has more novice-user available options than Illustrator does. Plus it's much more complex in what you can do, but easier to do what you want without any hassle. It even supports layers (using XML).

I recommend Inkscape to: Private Artists, Educational Org...

JoeUser and Firefox seem to be having falling outs with each-other when it comes to writing articles. Is it my plugin blend, or is there actually something causing the problem with base Firefox?

So I'm back on JoeUser. I've kicked my porn addiction (Four years later, no longer using a filter, no longer needing to watch), stopped playing so many video games (not quite so happily, but necessary), and run a daily webcomic (for a couple months, then I lost inspiration/ideas and my comp. died), and started a new weekly one.

I'd also like to apologize. I've been snarky and rude, and all the things I never wanted to be in the past, not because I truly wanted you to hurt, but becau...
