Listen to Erathoniel ranting on and on in good ol' conservative Christian fashion.

Here's a list of ways to stop piracy, but not purchases. Go DRM-Free: DRM will be cracked, but pirates often steal solely due to DRM, or wouldn't purchase anyways. Make a Club: If people buy a magazine subscription when they buy the game, at no added charge, they will enjoy it more. Do not restrict play for those not in the club, though, but make special content available only to club members. (plug-ins, not multiplayer, should be the incentive) Fan Policing: Have fan...

EA has finally invoked the boycott button. I'm fine if you use DRM in a purchased product. If it really bothers me, I'll get a crack or find a workaround. But, the Spore Creature Creator demo contains Securom, an overly-potent DRM solution that phones home without any grounds for suspicion.    I steer clear of malware on my computer, but now I've discovered that even EA cannot be trusted. You have my boycott notice, EA. I may even pirate a copy of Spore, just beca...

Now, I'm in the Mythos beta, and this is all I will say about it: It's awesome. It's like the Korean grindfest games, but it doesn't get boring as quickly and has a lot of content. Also, it's got a major drive to level up. I'll be playing it a lot.     However, I find that I've been spending a lot of my time on games, and not much doing everything else. For instance, I did maybe 8 hours of work in a day, I spent 8 playing Mythos or EV Nova (bought it yesterda...

I think that Hillary should run as an Independent candidate. She obviously wants to run, and I believe that it is her right to do so. Heck, let her run as a Democrat with Obama. See if I care. But I do believe that she should run. And for fairness. Let my Republican status sink in, and, then, sure, make her run. I, however, believe that she should make the decision of whether or not she wants to run and stick with it.

Today I will be looking at why media franchises fail.     I will give an example of a good franchise with a bad game that failed, and a good franchise with a good game that failed nonetheless, and how they could have been saved.     Franchise 1: Galidor     Galidor has a pretty neat concept. Change forms from one to another and become a wonderful fighter. It was sponsored by Lego, but it had a fairly decent concept. It had ...

Here's my review of it: It's a decent service. It's easy to use, works in Firefox. However, the selections are rather low (and they stock information on bands they don't have songs from) for us non-contemporary listeners (I.E. those interested in Gregorian chants and Christian metalcore [granted, that's almost nobody]). I'd be willing to recommend them to anyone, given that it works. Not all of the songs tend to work. Some do, some don't. It's not that they can't be ...

I'm gonna cut back on writing articles, and only write when I feel like it. This means Daily Features will be rare, but normal articles will be rarer. I've got about 150 articles, so I'm definitely averaging at least one a day for a long time, so I'm gonna rest up. Hopefully my writing will improve while I'm slow.

Politics or Popularity?     I've got complaints about the2008 election. I haven't heard the slightest on any of the candidate'spolitics. The only candidate I can root for is John McCain, and moredue to the fact that Republicans would be more conservative than theDemocrats, as a general rule (he's surely more conservative than Obamaor Hillary). The problem is that instead of having political debate,we're getting more of an American Idol style popularity contestd...

Happy Memorial Day to all. However, it is important to rember that in addition to celebration, there should also be mourning for the soldiers lost at war for our freedom. Therefore, we should all try to write to a soldier today, to tell them that we are thinking about them and the friends they have lost.

Dive    The world keeps getting smaller and smaller. The Dreamers compete, eachforming their own patches of paradise, coming and going at will. I am aGreater Dreamer. This is my world, they are only in here as long as Iinvite them. Soon, I will send some away, they're messing up the placewith their bickering. At least one of them is having nightmares, because the city doesn't normally have a huge crater teeming withgoblins. I'll have to hunt them down. I hate it...

Darn Fatigue    For some reason, I've been getting really slow and lethargic for thelast few days. It's probably because I haven't been eating right, but, then again, it could be anything. It means that I'll probably beputting up more filler articles than I used to, for example, this one.     Game Review- Archlord    Yeah, I just started playing it today, but here's what I'll say aboutArchlord. It's. Awesome. It's pretty much a ...

Short Story- Shadowrun: Desecration    It all started two months ago. I'd met a mage by the name of ArkadiLev. He seemed like a nice enough guy, for a runner, that is. Maybe inhis thirties, clean shaven, short black hair worn in a simple,attention-defering style, thin, pale. The perfect counterpart to me, aneight-foot-two troll street samurai. I get the attention, he takesadvantage of not having it. Or so I thought.    I've learned my lesson a...

Is it just my Firefox being borked, or is JU leaving out part of the url on my articles/dashboard link. For example: http://www.erathoniel./article/308240/Why_PC_Gaming_is_Dying Should be: http://www.erathoniel.joeuser.com/article/308240/Why_PC_Gaming_is_Dying     It does this from the homepage and dashboard, and all the My Account, My Dashboard, My Blog, and New Article buttons are borked as well. Anyone else having similar glitches?

Is it "Satanic hate"?    Some people have called my attacks on the false Church of Jesus Christof Latter Day Saints to come from "Satanic hate". Well, here's what Ihave to say to it. Now, if a person goes out into the woods, makes ahoax, brings it back, and then claims it as a religion, is it areligion of truth, or one of Satan? Therefore, I belive Joseph Smith tobe a liar and a deciever of all men. When I hate the LDS church, I hateno individual, I hate the li...

Why Do You Call it Hate?    I've had people complain that I'm a "troll" or too hard on them. Youknow what I say? If you cannot justify your beliefs, must you classifymine as hate? Quite frankly, I'm only capable of hating those who'vewronged me. As far as I know, no major group has hurt me as a generalrule, so therefore I hate no group. Plus, I usually only hold grudgesso long as they can keep on burning. I'm not gonna continue hauntingone issue for eight years...
