Listen to Erathoniel ranting on and on in good ol' conservative Christian fashion.

Now, I'm not such terribly great a scholar, when it comes to Catholicism, but I'm gonna try to lay out some differences. Catholicism has more rituals, Protestantism has virtually none. Catholicism has a central leader, Protestantism has, again, virtually none (though large groups may adopt specific leaders). Catholicism took longer to adopt the native languages of the people, Protestantism was bred in these languages. Here are some similarities. Both are true-blood, b...

I've had Jedi Academy for years. I've played it for years. It's an awesome game. It generally recieves at least 2 play-throughs, one light, one dark (though, occasionally, a couple balanced ones) of the single player campaign. For anti-social people like me, it has bots to allow a single-player FPS arena experience.     Jedi Academy is a great game, with a degree of customization (model, force powers), but, more importantly, lightsabers. The lightsaber gamepl...

I am a fan of Tremulous, the open-source Q3 strategy FPS, to the point of writing fanfiction. Granted, it has no story.     New Douglas was a peaceful planet, until the aliens came. Humanity used to live in luxurious cities, but now everything with less than eight legs lives in military bases. The aliens hunt the humans relentlessly, with the tiny Dretch or the magnificent Tyrant, or anything in-between.     The light is burning my eyes... I...

Jere's Part 2 of the Iliad for the Common Reader. The Article Link reads back to the previous one in the series, if you're lost.     With these words he sat down, and Calchas, wisest of prophetss, who knew things past present and to come, rose to speak. He had guided the Greeks with their fleet to Troy, through the propheses which Phoebus Apollo had told him. With all sincerity and goodwill he addressed them:     "Achilles, loved of heaven, you a...

I'm gonna try putting the Iliad into plain English. It's already in English in the translation I'm using, but I'm making it simple. It will have footnotes. Most quotes will be left somewhat intact, especially describing the pantheon of the Greeks.     Sing, O goddess*, the anger of Achilles son of Peleus, that brought countless ills upon the Greeks. It killed many of the Greeks, and it led to the death of many heroes, for so Zeus's commands fufilled, when s...

Intelligent Design is proved by two scientific statements: Einstein'sTheory of Relativity, and Occam's Razor. Basically, nothing can comefrom nothing, without an outside force.     What I meant by this statement was that due to the Theory or Relativity, everything had to be created somehow and Occam's Razor would mean that any attempt to explain it as a mere co-incidence is more-or-less putting a customized one-person secular theology in. For those who haven't read the arti...

Intelligent Design is proved by two scientific statements: Einstein's Theory of Relativity, and Occam's Razor. Basically, nothing can come from nothing, without an outside force. Therefore the universe must have been created. Occam's Razor would also prove this theory. "God created the Earth" is much more simple than any alternative. Also, any arguements for the contrary can be labled as free will (We have free will, but God must, to give us true free will, let us decide based...

Jack The Fugitive is a side-scrolling shooter set in a futuristic dystopian post-apocalyptic world, where everything is dying but Corper cities, basically fortresses where one is forced to conformity.     All in all, the graphics and music are of good quality, the gameplay is engaging, but, the best part of the entire game is the storyline. It's not the most unique, but it's well written, features a romance (within marriage), comedy, and all-around action. It...

I am a skeptic of Global Warming. I believe that most people are hypocrites on the matter, whatever they say. I have no good evidence of global warming. I've always endured high temperature where I live, and they're not getting worse. Also, I feel that all the "massive trend" is not really true. There is, in my opinion, nothing in our atmosphere messing us up. What I believe is one of the problems is the amount of air conditioning, as much as anything else. Energy can be converted, but ...

I was playing Tremulous tonight as Winsu on the PureTremulous server (my fave). I noticed two tactics. Jetty defending and bleeding.     Jetty is basically a derogatory term for one who uses a jetpack(infinite flight time). Jettytards are people who use them on offense,it's a stronger derogatory term. However, people hate people who usethem on defense. The Jet-Pack, however, is a direct counter to Dretchrushes and is very useful S2 and S3, when there needs to...

Many people say that PC gaming is dying, and I agree with them entirely. From a commercial sense. The independent gaming community for PC is better than ever. The reason that PC gaming is dying is because of system requirements. You do not need to run a FPS at 90 frames per second with bloom, soft shadows, real-time lighting, next-generation physics, and advanced reflection to make it look good. See Tremulous. 700 MHz, low requirements in graphics, and various other nice stats. It looks nicer...

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars is the second game in the Enemy Territory series. It takes place in a near-future Earth following an invasion by the half-man half-machine Strogg. The premise of the game is primarily an objective-based siege style game, where a defending team fights an attacking team. The gameplay is solid and proven, with balanced but different teams. For instance, the Strogg Technician gives both health and ammo to his teammates, while the Human Medic and Covert Ops take the sam...

Ever wonder how to keep Windows running nice? I recommend using three tools.     First, I recommend using CCleaner. CCleaner cleans your registry (save a backup) and startup to allow your PC to boot faster. It can also free a dramatic amount of space by deleting temporary files (4% of my HDD on my PC). Second, I recommend Spybot Search and Destroy. It works really well to speed up your computer and helps privacy. Third, I recommend Defraggler. It defragments ...

Writing from blogs is different from normal writing. So here I'm listing my personal template for writing for a blog.     Title/Introduction: Start here, See above for an example.     Body: Clarify on the Title/Introduction, this is not needed for reviews or whatnot, but should be done first.     Itemized List (optional): Either in the form of a paragraph (IE: First, blah blah. Blah blah blah. Second, blah blah...) or an nu...
